It worked to some extent, but because they didn't know that I had applied online as well the system failed on me. And do u have any idea how long should I wait to see online status after aor and would they mention my status under review if it would be under review in intake office. I tried finding what the different states mean, and I should not have to try so hard it should tell you when hovering over it or something. I am interested in the Batavia location full-time.

There's no way to really tell with these things. I choose to be filled with hope.

The process of background checks is very annoying and confusing to both families and applicants. Many applicants do not understand what to do, so a bunch of time gets wasted with trying to help them understand. Also I get automated emails that don't even make sense. I tried finding what the different states mean, and I should not have to try so hard it should tell you when hovering over it or something. Please properly explain to us what EACH state means and make things easier for all of us to understand what to do. I feel this is wasting a lot of precious time and that I have been ripped off. Caregivers - if family requests it - you should not pay for it, but I think it gets confusing because they will charge you to have it linked to your profile so say no to the linking unless you also want to pay. Every state has its own systems to track anyone that is in trouble or has a record. It just takes time to get the requests back. When I was a speech therapist the places I worked school systems, medical facilities would run my fingerprints. Weeks later I would receive a letter from the FBI saying the background check turned up nothing and I was safe to work with children, adults, geriatrics.... I kept all the letters with my resume and references and just kept on working. I had a family request a background check of me caregiver , and it took a month of me calling care. By the way, the customer service number is on google. To actually access a human, it took a few minutes of me listening to the prompts and pressing the number for safety, then waiting for it to ask me if I still needed help to press another number. Once you finally get a ringtone, it may take a very long while for someone to actually answer. I waited two hours for someone to pick up the phone. After waiting a few days without any response, I called again and talked to another person. My point is, the customer service people tend to just read off prompts they are given and you can hear it in their tone. If you ask for a supervisor, they will say there isn't one there never is. Honestly I'm just guessing here, but this is what I believe the statuses mean. I know as a caregiver, I had to give my approval for the family to do a background check. Then once I allowed the family to do the background check and entered all my personal information maybe this is the submitted info status I was shown that the background check is pending probably the request under review. Once the background check is completed, if there is something found on it they do not actually send it to the family probably the waiting approval. This allows for the caregiver to dispute any inaccurate findings on their background check before it is sent to the family. The people behind the actual background check are Sterling Info Systems. They send the information to Care. Honestly, I would just ask the people you are requesting background checks on about the status of their background check. If anything, do a background check with another company. I am also confused about as to why it's free if a family asks for it, but then they try to trick you into paying for another one to put on your profile. There is no way of linking it on the profile unless you pay again. If it comes down to it, ask them to send you a screenshot of their background check screen. It doesn't show any personal info or anything and will also have the date when it was done, PLUS it'll show if their background check is pending.. I am sorry for such a long response, but I really do hope it helps you. It is just incredibly frustrating that caregivers don't understand what they are clicking on. I feel bad for the applicant because either they really did give access OR they just can't figure out how to. Seems like very poor website design... I do agree if a person can't pay the 10. And as for the background check you don't have to have it or give out your background check or pay for it for that matter if a family requests it. Non of this is something you must do, it only increases your chances of getting a client above everyone else. Honestly if you cant afford it you should rethink your finances because it really is not a lot of money for how much you can get paid in return. We connect families with great caregivers and caring companies to help you be there for the ones you love. However, each individual is solely responsible for selecting an appropriate care provider or care seeker for themselves or their families and for complying with all applicable laws in connection with any employment relationship they establish.

Never stopped looking for other jobs, found and accepted a position. It means that they are no longer accepting applications for that position, but that jesus not mean that you are not welcome to apply to other positions in the company. Honestly, I would just ask the people you are requesting background checks on about the status of their background check. I'm talking about failing multiple classes, dreading going to school, and even getting suspended many times.
